This week was a rough one. I think I am finally over the hump though. I still feel kinda crappy but have felt progressively better since thursday night. I hate this so much right now. I really am trying to stay positive but I hate feeling crappy, I hate being anti-social and today I hate not having any energy to get anything done.
This is my rant of the day, see, I already feel better for sharing. now I must go to bed (again). I (almost) hate my bed. Grrr!

Shirts and bags are IN!
I will post pics tomorrow.
Yes, I ordered an obnoxious amount in anticipation of a massive buying frenzy once everyone saw how cool they are!
Today I feel like this:

(aka shit on a shingle - thanks candy boots)
With plenty of rest, 8 glasses of water and a balanced diet hopefully I will feel better.
I took my last emend today (nausea drug) hopefully my last EVER!!

I am done with strawberry jello...
There is a double meaning to this:
I don't think i will be able to ever eat strawberry jello again, here's why:

This is the Adrimisin drip- and it looks so much like strawberry jello, cherry kool-aid, even cranberry juice that it might be a while until I can stomach any of those.
The above is also me getting the LAST adrimisin drip...I AM DONE WITH AC-- so I am halfway done with chemo. YAY!! Tired today and going back in later for neulasta shot (i almost typed shit - and I guess that is what i really mean, b/c the neulasta is my cryptonite. yuck!) other good news about that is dr. Klien (aka dr. fantastic) says i might not have have neulasta on taxol -- which would totally rock. We'll see how my white blood cell count is in two weeks.
almost done, almost done, almost done...
and so is my hair, btw, also found out that the eyebrows and lashes have a very good chance of going as well but that they won't until closer to the end. "last to leave, first to come back" Just like a good Tennessean during the succession.
Shirts are in tomorrow and then we're doing a "mailing out the shirts" pizza party if anyone is interested. freeee pizza!
Lastly, I am full on in chemo brain (aka pregnant brain for all you moms) and am so forgetful right now, I have a dozen lists... most of which I can't remember what is on them but anyhow- Cary sent me this great article about journaling here - and I have to say - if it is good for cancer, I bet it is good for most stressful times in life.

Bag shots...
I got a screen shot of the bags- yay! Natural color with either tank or circles.

In other news: I feel kinda crummy today. Yesterday was not fun either. I hate this nausea thing.
I have had cheese toast (is this a southern thing btw? i got made fun of for calling it cheese toast- but what else do you call it!?) hot tamales and wheat thins. ugh!
oh and an interesting article:
Breast cancer breakthrough

3rd Treatment
Three down - five to go... Yesterday's treatment was pretty standard- except I had some resident watching the port procedure. Which was actually interesting b/c I found out why they do certain things and what things are called. For instance- most ports have 2 sides so that you can alternate the insertion every other session so that no scar tissue can build up. I also might have to keep my port in until the next surgery... better that then two separate surgeries. Oh, I also found out the name of the other drug: cyclophosphamide. the C in the AC/T. I only have one more AC treatment and then I switch to Taxol. which I have heard has different side effects but is easier to handle. yay!
I have an elevated white blood cell count which they are sorta concerned with. I guess the neulasta is supposed to regulate the white cell count-- and only really work when they are low - so they are not sure why it is up so high.(25.7H - when the normal range is 4-11H) either I have an infection that i dont know about or i have a weird reaction to the neulasta. will keep you posted.
Thanks to everyone for spreading to word about shirts! I will also keep you posted as to when they come in and start mailing out. yay!!
Also- I finally saw Blue Harvest! omg - hysterical!! It is on itunes now-- hooray! (this is what i did in treatment yesterday)
working from home today -- so no scarf. but no hair either! got serious pattern balness going on!

For those of you who do not cross-pollenate...
I have a friend here in the city that hosts a blog called chickbug and she asked that I guest post. So, I did and it's there now if you want to take a look.(here) Apologies for the grammatical errors- I seriously need to have an editor look at everything I write.
It got me thinking that writing about this whole experience has been very therapeutic. It all started out as just a way to let multiple friends and family know what was going on so I didn't have to send 100 emails a day saying the same thing. But now I realize it has helped me deal with the situation so much better... I think it is in that way that therapists tell you to journal to work out issues. So I guess in that respect, I should be paying all of you for listening to me ramble. (Oh, but wait, I am no longer accepting anymore bills. sorry.)
Happy Friday. My scarf is green.

Official launch of the "Buy Now" button!
To the left you will find a new section that will hopefully ease the purchase of fun shirts/bags for your wearing/using pleasure. It should be a couple of weeks before they are done -- finalizing the details of the printing/printer this week.
Thanks to everyone, regardless of purchase or not. I truly appreciate your emails/thoughts/mystic powers.
I am feeling close to well this week. I LOVE off treatment weeks- I almost feel normal. Still coughing.. (It keeps going, and going, and going...)
I also want to mourn the loss of the hawk today. yes, last night it met a bitter end in the bathtub of the Netek/Oslie household. Unfortunately the results are not as GI Jane as one would hope... so I have moved on to scarves.(shout out to Nancy for the new scarf collection!) I have a couple of wigs that will soon go into rotation- but for now I am adjusting to the need to cover my head. Weird feeling. Weird looking. Just weird. I saw a picture of myself with long hair last night and I swear it didn't look like me. Neither does the Sinead -- but who can really rock that besides her and maybe Buddha?
