On the plus side- no more treatment for 2 weeks. 2 weeks to chill -- just cook and chillll. aww yeah - cook and chilll.
The day was much more packed than it normally will be - first I got there and had to do blood work, and a couple of tests, then we waited and met everyone involved - the nurse the acupuncture chick - the nutritionist the janitor. the nurse is great. you get a room on the first treatment(if one is available) just so they can go over everything. and they go over EVERYTHING -- very good -- ask me anything-- i got a wealth of information- I will list the side effect that are my side effects as they happen and forgo all the others.
next, the port gets flushed with saline, then i get the anti-nausea as a drip pre-chemo then we waited for a bit to get the blood count results.
next, i got the adriamiasine

this last part is what i'll do every other week for 8 weeks and then i'll switch to taxol- same drill but i think it is about 1 hour.
I am going back to bed - have to go to the hospital for neulasta tomorrow.
here are another picture from the treatment room:
the chick on the left is my nurse checking on me. on the right on the phone is mom. and in the foreground, my shamefully dirty socks.

So glad your Mom is there with you. That "Caution" sticker on the drip bag is pretty scary - great photo.
Sleep good. Sleep as long as you want!!!
So are you getting acupuncture too? How cool!
Ok so another funny Seth & Nigel story...Nigel was looking at one of our wedding photos and said to me, "Where is Daddy's Wedding Dress?" I asked him what he meant and after about 20 questions realized he was asking about the tuxedo. My wedding gown is just hanging in our closet, so he wanted to know where John's suit was. When I explained that men ususally rent the suits and give them back, he was very upset. He didn't think that was fair at all. They are so funny!
Talk to you soon!
Love-
Kate
